Leonarda shares insights about the impact of racism in the classroom from her PhD research, subsequent work with writers of colour, and her own experiences. Her published work includes stories from El Salvador which reflect deeply personal family experiences both there and building anew in Canada. Leonarda continues to write, exploring the genre of fiction, as she facilitates workshops and encourages emerging writers.
